Wedding planning...
It's exhausting. Finding vendors, staying in budget, agreeing on colors etc. leads to burn out. The bigger the event, the more stressful it is. However, micro-weddings are not stress free but they are a lot less difficult to plan. They're small, intimate, memorable. By the time you get to your wedding, you don't want to be in the mindset of "I just want this night over with". Planning up until the day of the wedding should be exciting and fun.
Where to have a smaller wedding...
You can have a wedding in your own backyard! It's what you have envisioned. Usually micro-weddings consist of no more than 70 guests. The lowest amount of guests could be even be 15 people. Venues can still offer smaller spaces for your event. Restaurants are great, my favorite is Lefkes Restaurant located in NJ for a small event like this!
